Captain America: Civil War Twitter Contest, Shield Invitation Free Printable Template, and Shield Favor Free Printable

Connor is obsessed with superheroes. He is constantly dressing up as Captain America and I can't count the number of times we've watched the original Avengers movie. Luckily, Mike and I enjoy it as much as he does and I was very excited to see the new preview of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War yesterday before the big game. If you missed it, it looks intense!

When the government sets up a governing body to oversee the Avengers, the team splinters into two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

While I'm excited to see this movie, I'm not thrilled that my two favorite heroes, Captain America and Iron Man, will be fighting each other. I can't make myself pick between them but if you can, check out this Twitter campaign to enter to win a chance to win a walk-on role in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War- Part 1:

As part of an exciting new Twitter campaign, 11 new character emojis are now available, and fans are encouraged to Tweet using #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan to declare their allegiance to their favorite Marvel characters. In addition, fans can create their own super team using the Captain America emojis and #TeamCapSweepstakes or #TeamIronManSweepstakes for a chance to win a walk-on role in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War - Part I.

Connor recently had his 3rd birthday and it was no surprise when he asked for an Avengers party. While he loves all of the characters, Captain America is his favorite so I used his shield as an inspiration for the invitation and favors.

I created this shield invitation using my Cricut and card stock. I created a template for those of you who don't have cutting machines to use to create this fun Captain America invitation for your own party.

Cut out your pieces and assemble them to create each shield.
Use a word processing software to create a personalized invitation for the back or simply write your party info straight on the back of shield.

I created a cup full of Avengers favors for each child and used small frisbees I found at Party City as the lids.

I made them look like Captain America's shield by attaching a small piece of card stock printed with the shield details. The kids loved their small shields!
