Fall Decorations

I think fall has arrived here in Missouri. It's taken its sweet time but I'm excited to finally be able to wear sweaters and boots again! Despite 90 degree heat last week I got motivated to decorate our house for fall and I'm happy I did because it's in the 60s this week.

Pinterest has so many amazing fall themed decorating ideas but the one I kept going back to was the gorgeous burlap wreaths. There were tons of tutorials to choose from but I ended up following the simplest one I could find which only used a wire hanger and a roll of burlap. You can find the tutorial here. I noticed as I was doing mine that my burlap roll I found at Hobby Lobby wasn't as wide as the one she used so my wreath isn't as full as hers. But I still loved how it turned out and it only took me about 20 minutes total. I glued on a bow, flowers and a small pumpkin to accent it and it's the perfect fall themed door decoration!

I don't tend to go to crazy for holiday decorations (except for Christmas!) inside but I wanted some fall table decor so I found this gorgeous floral arrangement at Joanns and added some fall candles and mini pumkins the kids got at Grace's preschool fun night. It's simple and doesn't dominate the table.

Now we're counting down the days until we can decorate for Christmas....I might be just as excited as the kids are. Do you decorate for fall?
