Holiday Gift Guide: Frozen & Disney Princesses Hairstyles Books + Giveaway!

Disclosure: I received samples of these books to facilitate this review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are 100% my own and honest.

Grace is truly Disney princess obsessed. She wears her Elsa dress every single day and she would watch the movies all day if I let her. I've had many requests for hair like Elsa's and I must admit that I am not a hair wizard. Luckily, I recently got the opportunity to review two books that will help teach me how to give her the styles seen on her favorite princesses.

Disney Frozen Hairstyles: Inspired by Anna and Elsa features 28 gorgeous hairstyles with step by step photo and written instructions. From Elsa and Anna's signature styles to fun, pretty, and unique braid styles, your little girl is sure to love her Frozen inspired look. Grace wants me to try every style in this book on her. Unfortunately her hair is still a little too short for me to make any of the styles work, but I know it won't be long until we are able to try them out. I am still a braid novice (I'm trying to get better!) but I was so happy that this book includes a braidschool to help teach you to create a basic braid, french braid, fishtail braid and more!

The Disney Princess Hairstyles book gives instructions and photos for 40 hairstyles based on all of the Disney princesses. There are at least 3 styles for each princess and the styles vary in difficulty. I love that the girls pictured in these books look like actual little girls, not teenage makeup covered models.

Like I mentioned with the Frozen book, these hairstyles are best suited for long hair and I wish they would have added some modifications for shorter hair. But alas, there are no princesses with short hair (except Rapunzel at the end of Tangled I guess!) Despite that, Grace loves looking at this book and we make attempts to recreate the styles anyway. None of our attempts have been photo worthy but we enjoy the book and I know we will have so much fun recreating these hairstyles for years to come. How much fun would these books be as a gift for a little girl going on a Disney trip?
