2k Fan Giveaway! Day 8: Green Toys Train

Disclosure: I received a train from Green Toys in exchange for this review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own and honest.

In early June, I reached 2,000 Facebook fans and I was so excited that I decided to celebrate by offering a series of giveaways for my wonderful readers. I originally planned to host 5 giveaways, but I had so many companies respond with amazing products that I am thrilled to announce that I will be hosting 12 days of giveaways!

I am humbled and extremely happy that so many people take time out of their day to read about our family. This blog started as a journal about our daily adventures and has grown into a means to help support my family, something I never imagined possible. Be sure to visit each day to learn about a new company. On the final day, be sure to check out a special giveaway prize provided by me as a thank you to all of you.

Thank you to each and every one of you for reading my posts and sharing your thoughts and opinions in the comments!

Green Toys Train Giveaway

Choo choo! One of my favorite toy brands, Green Toys, recently gave us the chance to try out one of their newest toys, the train. We love Green Toys! Grace received one of their dump trucks for her first birthday and over 2 years later, it still looks almost perfect despite lots of rough play.

Green Toys Inc. makes an awesome line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet.

All Green Toys are made in the USA and are mainly made with recycled milk jugs. They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA and are packaged in environmentally friendly packaging. No unnecessary zip ties or twist ties are used in the packaging making it quick and easy to get the toy out for your excited child.

It was a challenge to get this picture as both kids were basically attacking the box wanting to play with the train. Connor is obsessed with trains right now so I knew that it would be a hit but even I'm surprised by how much he loves this toy.

He loves taking the top off of the caboose and putting things in it. He thinks it's hilarious to move the bears around in the train and I hear him constantly pushing the engine around yelling "choo choo!"

Unlike other train sets I've seen, it is super easy to attach and detach the cars from the engine. The kids can play with this toy completely independently. Connor is extremely rough on his toys (he throws things, bangs them on things, yeah, he's a boy), but this train is so sturdy that he hasn't damaged it at all.

Because it has no metal axles or external coatings, this train (like all Green Toys) is a perfect outside toy. We can play with it in the dirt or in the water table and simply bring it inside and stick in IN THE DISHWASHER! Yes, you read that right, Green Toys can go in the dishwasher!! How amazing is that?

Both kids love this train and I know that it will continue to be a favorite. I'm pretty sure Connor is going to be getting the rocket for his birthday.
It looks like so much fun!
