2k Fan Giveaway! Day 10: Educational Insights Giveaway

Disclosure: I received these toys from Educational Insights to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own and honest. This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase from any of the links I make a small amount.

In early June, I reached 2,000 Facebook fans and I was so excited that I decided to celebrate by offering a series of giveaways for my wonderful readers. I originally planned to host 5 giveaways, but I had so many companies respond with amazing products that I am thrilled to announce that I will be hosting 12 days of giveaways!

I am humbled and extremely happy that so many people take time out of their day to read about our family. This blog started as a journal about our daily adventures and has grown into a means to help support my family, something I never imagined possible. Be sure to visit each day to learn about a new company. On the final day, be sure to check out a special giveaway prize provided by me as a thank you to all of you.

Thank you to each and every one of you for reading my posts and sharing your thoughts and opinions in the comments!

For today's 2k Fan Giveaway, I've partnered up with Educational Insights! Educational Insights creates amazing toys and games that are sure be a hit with your kids. While your kids are having fun, you'll love that all of their toys are packed with "serious educational value". They teach and reinforce important life skills with engaging games and toys with fun, fresh designs. They feature products for kids ages 3 and up. Grace loved looking at their website and showing me the toys she wanted (pretty much everything!)

Educational Insights sent us the Kitten Caboodle™ Game and a Dino Construction Company™ –T-Top the Triceratops Bulldozer to try. Both kids were excited when we received the huge box and I pulled out the T-Top Bulldozer. It was bigger than I expected and I couldn't get it out of the box fast enough!
I love that this toy requires no batteries. It allows kids to do all of the work! It has a movable jaw so that kids can pick up sand or dirt and a swinging tale to destroy block towers. Connor likes moving the head up and down and Grace loves filling the mouth up with sand.

We took T-Top to the park with us recently as a toy to play with in the sandbox and I honestly can't tell you how many little kids came over to us and asked to play with it. We even had several older boys come over saying how cool it was and asking how it worked. It was the hit of the sandbox! Grace demonstrated all of the fun features and spent several minutes just playing with the movable jaw.

Connor preferred to drag it all over the park behind him. Don't ask me why, he thought it was hilarious.

Despite the rough play, T-Top is still in perfect condition. This toy is very sturdy. The only criticism I have is that the description on this toy says that the treads will leave tracks on dirt or sand. We haven't been able to get this to work yet but our sand might have been too uneven. We'll be trying again soon!

Grace loves all animals but she definitely has a soft spot for cats so I knew that she would love the Kitten Caboodle game. She wanted to play it right away and I was impressed by how quickly she picked it up!
The goal of the game is to adopt as many cats as you can. You play just like you play "Go Fish" by asking other players if they have items that each kitty wants. "Do you have a kitty bed?" or "Do you have a brush?" We also include some "meows" in those questions for fun. When you have the items that the kitty wants, you get to adopt them. When all of the kitties are adopted, the game is over. We've been working very hard lately to get Grace to use complete sentences and ask full questions so this has been a great way to practice while having fun. It's a great matching game for her and she LOVES showing me which kitties she's going to get. I often find her playing by herself just matching the kitties up to each of their items.

We got the chance to test the game with Grace and 4 of my nieces when they came to visit several weeks ago. I wish I could have gotten a better picture but they had fun!

The only issue we had was the littler girls didn't want to wait their turns. They range in age from 3 to 10 and they all enjoyed it!

Check out the Educational Insights Website, Facebook, and Twitter to find out more about all of their great products!
