Baby Girl Gifts!

One of my good friends, Julie (aka Lincoln's mom) had a new baby girl, Adelaide, only a few short weeks after I had Connor. We plan on them being good friends, not that they really have a choice!

How cute are these babies? Connor was 3 weeks and I believe Addie was 3 days old.

So of course, I had to find something extra adorable to make for Miss Addie.I decided on a flower for a headband and a ruffle butt onesie!

This singed sating flower was so easy to make and I love the way it turned out. I used satin from Hobby Lobby and cut out 6 squares, each one smaller than the previous one. I then cut off the corners of each square. I used a lighter to singe the edges of each piece. Then I glued the pieces together, glued a pretty rhinestone piece in the middle, and glued an alligator clip on the back. It only took a few minutes from start to finish and came out so pretty!

I also made a ruffle butt onesie with a flower on the front. For the flower, I used satin ribbon and stitched the edge to create a ruffle. I sewed the ends of my ribbon together and glued the rhinestone piece in the center. I then glued it to the onesie.

To create the ruffles, I stiched through the center of the ribbon and ruffled it. I then attached it to the onesie by sewing it down the middle of the ribbon. I did two ruffles to make it look fuller.

These were so much fun to make and I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Have you made a gift lately? I'd love to hear about it, I'm always looking for new ideas!
