Home Tour: Bathrooms

It has been a long week here. I seem to have regressed back into the first trimester with lots of nausea. So far today, I seem to be feeling better so I want to take advantage of it and do a quick post. I have lots of things to update about including a fabulous weekend away last weekend thanks to my parents and a pregnancy update regarding my hip pain, so hopefully I can get those written today or early next week. Today I thought I'd continue our home tour by sharing our bathrooms.

I grew up in a house with only 1.5 baths and it was tight. When Mike and I started looking at houses, we knew we wanted at least 2.5 baths. One for us, one for the kids and a half for guests. We ended up with 3 full baths.

Our master bath is what sold me on our house. As soon as I walked in, I knew I just had to have it!

The bathtub is one of my favorite parts of our house. I love it! I didn't take a picture of the vanity because it is messy at the moment and it is nearly impossible to get the counter top clean. Whoever decided to  put white laminate counter tops in a bathroom was stupid. We do have double sinks which is extremely convenient!

Our guest bath/kids bath:
This is a new faucet. I really like it and I am trying to convince Mike to put them in our bathroom too.
This is what the white counter top in our bathroom looks like too. I really want to change it soon.

Please excuse the child throwing a tantrum on the floor. She decided she wanted to take a bath and wasn't happy when I said no.

I don't have pictures of our downstairs bathroom because it is so tiny. There is a shower behind the door and a pretty standard vanity with a white counter top. We have been collecting ideas on how to redo it to maximize space and will probably be doing a remodel of it in the next few years.

Thanks for reading as we continue our home tour!

  1. I like your polka dotted shower curtain.

Can you tell I'm behind on reading the SUYL posts? And I'm interested (or obsessed!) enough to want to read every single one?!?!
